The National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) has released an official advertisement (Advt No. 177/2026) for the recruitment of 117 Academic Positions. This includes Professors, Associate Professors, Assistant Professors, and Librarians at its headquarters in New Delhi and regional institutes (Ajmer, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Mysuru, and Shillong).

Eligibility Criteria

Professor: Ph.D. in relevant discipline + 10 years teaching/research experience + 10 research publications (Research score: 120).

Associate Professor: Ph.D. + Master’s (55%) + 8 years experience + 7 research publications (Research score: 75).

Assistant Professor: Master’s degree (55%) + NET/SLET/SET qualification or Ph.D. as per UGC regulations.

Librarian Posts: Master’s in Library Science (55%) + relevant experience and NET/Ph.D. as per norms.
Selection Process
The selection is based on academic merit and personal evaluation:

Shortlisting: Candidates will be shortlisted based on their research scores and academic credentials.

Interview: Final selection is strictly based on performance in the personal interview.
