The District Child Protection Society (DCPS), Chandigarh, under the Department of Social Welfare, Women & Child Development, has announced its 2026 recruitment drive. These positions are primarily for the Mission Vatsalya scheme on a contractual basis to support child welfare and protection services in the Union Territory.

Eligibility Criteria (As on 01.01.2026)

Educational Qualification:

For Officers/Counselors: Post Graduate degree in Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, Child Development, or Law.

For DEO/Accountant: Graduation (B.Com for Accountant) with computer proficiency and 35 WPM typing speed.

Experience: Candidates with 1–3 years of experience in Women & Child Development, Social Welfare, or with the Government/NGOs are preferred.

Age Limit: 18 to 37 years (Relaxation for reserved categories as per Chandigarh Administration norms).
Selection Process
The selection process is merit-based followed by a direct evaluation:

Shortlisting: Based on academic performance and relevant work experience.

Skill Test: A typing test is mandatory for the Data Entry Operator and Accountant posts.

Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a personal interview.
