IAF Agniveervayu Sports Recruitment 2026 (Intake 02/2026)

The Indian Air Force (IAF) has invited online applications from unmarried Indian male candidates for the Agniveervayu (Sports) Intake 02/2026. This recruitment is specifically for outstanding sportsmen to join the IAF under the Agnipath Scheme for a four-year engagement period.

🎓 Eligibility Criteria

1. Educational Qualification

Science Subjects: 10+2 with Mathematics, Physics, and English (Min. 50% aggregate & 50% in English) OR 3-year Diploma in Engineering.
Other Than Science: 10+2 in any stream (Min. 50% aggregate & 50% in English).

2. Age Limit

Born Between: 02 July 2005 and 02 January 2009 (both dates inclusive).
Maximum Age at Enrollment: 21 Years.

3. Sports Achievements

Candidates must have represented the country at International levels or secured top positions in Junior/Senior National Championships, Inter-University tournaments, or Khelo India Games.
Disciplines: Athletics, Basketball, Boxing, Cricket, Football, Hockey, Kabaddi, Swimming, Weightlifting, Wrestling, etc.

💸 Salary & Seva Nidhi Package

Agniveers will receive a customized monthly package with annual increments:

1st Year: ₹30,000 (In-hand: ₹21,000)
4th Year: ₹40,000 (In-hand: ₹28,000)
Exit after 4 Years: ₹10.04 Lakhs (Seva Nidhi Package) + Skill Gained Certificate.
Insurance: Non-contributory life insurance cover of ₹48 Lakhs.
