Punjab and Sind Bank has officially released a notification for the lateral recruitment of 1000 Local Bank Officers (LBO) in Junior Management Grade Scale I (JMGS-I). This is a regular-basis recruitment drive across 17 states.

Eligibility Criteria (As on 01.03.2026)

Educational Qualification: Graduation in any discipline from a recognized University.

Work Experience: Minimum 18 months of experience as an officer in any Scheduled Commercial Bank or Regional Rural Bank (RRB).

Age Limit: 20 to 30 years.

Age Relaxation: SC/ST (5 years), OBC (3 years), PwBD (10 years).

Credit History: A minimum CIBIL score of 650 is required at the time of joining.
Selection Process & Exam Pattern

Online Written Test: 120 Questions | 120 Marks | 120 Minutes.
Subjects: Banking Knowledge (40), General Awareness/Economy (30), English (30), Computer Aptitude (20).

Qualifying Marks: 40% for General/EWS; 35% for Reserved categories.

Shortlisting/Screening

Personal Interview: 50 Marks (Weightage: Written 70% + Interview 30%).

Language Proficiency Test (LPT): Mandatory if the local language was not a subject in 10th/12th standard.
Salary & Service Bond
-
Pay Scale: ₹48,480 – ₹85,920 (Initial pay includes 3 additional increments).

Probation Period: 6 Months.

Service Bond: Equivalent to 3 months’ gross salary for a period of 3 years.
