The CSIR – North East Institute of Science and Technology (NEIST), Jorhat, has invited online applications from eligible Indian citizens for the recruitment of Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS) and Drivers. This is a regular central government recruitment under the Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR).

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification:

MTS: 10th Class (Matriculation) pass or equivalent from a recognized board.

Driver: 10th Class pass + Possession of a valid driving license for LMV & HMV + At least 3 years of experience in driving.

Age Limit (as of 04.06.2026):

MTS: Maximum 25 Years.

Driver: Maximum 27 Years.

Age relaxation: SC/ST (5 years), OBC (3 years) as per Govt. rules.

Selection Process

MTS: Written Examination (Objective Type). The final merit will be based on the marks obtained in the competitive exam.

Driver: Physical Proficiency Test (Driving Test) followed by a Written Exam.

Final Step: Document Verification and Medical Examination.
