India Post GDS 2nd Merit List 2026: Out Now
The Department of Posts has officially released the 2nd Merit List (Supplementary List – II) for the recruitment of 28,636 Gramin Dak Sevaks (GDS), Branch Postmasters (BPM), and Assistant Branch Postmasters (ABPM) under the January 2026 Schedule-I.
Candidates who were not selected in the first list can now check their status circle-wise.

How to Check Your Name

Visit the official GDS portal: indiapostgdsonline.gov.in.

On the left-hand menu, look for “Shortlisted Candidates”.

Select your Circle/State and click on “Supplementary List – II”.

Download the PDF and use Ctrl + F to search for your Registration Number.

If shortlisted, note the Divisional Office where you must report for Document Verification.
Documents Required for Verification
Shortlisted candidates must report to their allotted divisional office by 27th April 2026 with the following (Original + 2 sets of photocopies):

Class 10th Marksheet & Certificate

Caste/Community Certificate (if applicable)

Identity Proof (Aadhaar Card, Voter ID, etc.)

Disability Certificate (if applicable)

Passport size photographs
