Punjab State Teacher Eligibility Test (PSTET) 2026 Notification
The State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT), Punjab has released the official schedule for the Punjab State Teacher Eligibility Test (PSTET) 2026. This exam is mandatory for candidates aspiring to become teachers in government and aided schools in Punjab for Classes I to VIII.

Eligibility Criteria

Paper I (Primary Stage: Classes I–V):

Senior Secondary (12th) with at least 50% marks and passed/appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed).

OR Graduation with 50% marks and B.Ed.

Paper II (Elementary Stage: Classes VI–VIII):
-
Graduation and passed/appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education.

OR Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed/appearing in a 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed).

Language: Candidate must have studied Punjabi as a subject up to Class 10th.
