UPSSSC Forest Guard & Wildlife Guard Recruitment 2026
The Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC) has officially released the notification (Advt. No. 12-Exam/2026) for the recruitment of Forest Guards (Van Rakshak) and Wildlife Guards (Vanya Jeev Rakshak). This recruitment drive aims to fill 708 vacancies in the Forest and Wildlife Department of Uttar Pradesh.

Eligibility Criteria
-
Mandatory Qualification: Candidates must have appeared in the UPSSSC PET-2025 and possess a valid scorecard. Shortlisting for the Main exam will be based on the PET-2025 normalized scores.

Educational Qualification: Must have passed the Intermediate (10+2) examination from a recognized Board (UP Board or equivalent).

Age Limit (as of 01 July 2026):

Minimum: 18 Years

Maximum: 40 Years

(Age relaxation applicable for SC/ST/OBC and other categories as per UP Govt. rules).

Physical Standards (Qualifying)
Candidates must meet the following minimum physical requirements:

Height (Male): 168 cm (160 cm for ST).

Height (Female): 150 cm (145 cm for ST).
-
Chest (Male): 84 cm after expansion (79 cm for ST).
-
Weight (Female): Minimum 45 kg to 58 kg.
-
Physical Efficiency Test (PET): * Male: 25 km run with 10 kg weight in 4 hours.

Female: 14 km run in 4 hours.

Salary & Pay Scale

Pay Level: Level-2

Pay Scale: ₹19,900 – ₹63,200 (Grade Pay ₹1900/-).
