The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) is scheduled to release the official notification for the SSC CPO 2026 examination on 31 May 2026. This national-level exam is conducted to recruit Sub-Inspectors (SI) for the Delhi Police and Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) like BSF, CRPF, CISF, ITBP, and SSB.

Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized university.

For Delhi Police SI (Male only): A valid Driving License for LMV (Motorcycle and Car) is mandatory at the time of the Physical Test (PET/PST).

Relaxation: OBC (3 years), SC/ST (5 years), Ex-servicemen (3 years).

Selection Process
The recruitment involves four distinct stages:

Paper-I: Computer-Based Objective Test (200 Marks).

Physical Standard Test (PST) / Physical Endurance Test (PET): Qualifying in nature (Running, Long Jump, High Jump, etc.).

Paper-II: English Language & Comprehension (200 Marks).

Detailed Medical Examination (DME): Final fitness check.
Salary & Pay Scale
The posts carry a Pay Level-6 (7th CPC) scale:

Pay Scale: ₹35,400 to ₹1,12,400.

In-hand Salary: Approx. ₹47,000 – ₹55,000 (depending on the city of posting and allowances like DA, HRA, and TA).
